The times here are the ones the operators publish. We do not show live departures, so always check with the operator before you set off.
Buses
Route 4 — Market Square to Harrow Vale
Run by Harrow Vale Buses
Every 30 minutes from Market Square, Monday to Saturday. Once an hour on Sundays. The last bus back is at 11pm.
Route 12 — the school bus
Run by Harrow Vale Buses
Picks up at Meadway, Mill Lane and Church End on school mornings, and drops off at 4pm.
Trains
Harrow Vale station
Run by Vale Rail
The nearest station is four miles away. Route 4 stops outside it. Buy your ticket at the machine or on the train.
Community transport
Meadway Community Car Scheme
Run by Meadway Community Car Scheme
Volunteer drivers take you to appointments and to the shops if you cannot use the bus. Ring two days before. You pay for the fuel only.
Harrowmere Dial-a-Ride
Run by Harrowmere Dial-a-Ride
A minibus with a ramp, for anyone who finds an ordinary bus hard. Book by phone up to a week ahead.
Parking
Market Square car park
Run by Harrowmere Town Council
Forty spaces, four of them blue badge. Free for the first two hours, then £1 an hour. Free all day on Sundays.
Cycling
The Mere Path
A flat, surfaced path from Jubilee Field to Harrow Vale, away from the road. There are cycle stands outside the Town Hall and the library.
Taxis
Taxi rank, Market Square
The rank is outside the Town Hall. Local firms are licensed by Harrow Vale District Council — ask to see the driver's badge.
